Well, I finally got my servo back, just in time for this weekend's races too. I haven't yet had a chance to test it out, but I'm sure it's fine. They ended up replacing the servo motor and amp. It took about a month total from the time I sent it in. Overall, I'm just happy that I didn't have to pay anything to get it fixed. I just wished they would've replaced the whole servo instead...but o well...

I'm a little late on this, but I believe the part that went bad is the potentiometer, or the pot for short.

I send important stuff UPS.
It's more expensive but you know were it is, and it's insured up to $100 unless you insure it for more.

poteniometer! That's what it was! Thnx ratzo, that was driving me crazy knowing what it was, but not knowing the name!

I do like ups better, but the usps post office is fairly close, and I can't legally drive yet so I have to walk in the 98 degree weather...lol.

was it's digital or an electronic board then it's called an SCR (silicon controlled rectifier).....does the same thing but uses solid state A to D converter to give the signal voltage change...potentiometers are usually a mechanical resistance device.....
Leave it to a sparky to say you have bad pot.....
