I have a hitec 625MG, and the little chip part you see sticking out overheated and fried. (the wires even melted together) Anyway, my question is, what is the name for that part (I forgot) and can I order a new one. Or, possible switch it out w/ one from another servo. (I've done that on my mini-t and Hitec HS-55 servo fine w/o any problem.

A long time ago, but it was dried out completely after it happened. (My savage decided it wanted to go swimming in the canal...)

I think I may have accidently reversed the polarity on the RX pack, but I'm pretty sure I didn't. I think the reciever went on the fritz for some reason.

wow, I didn't know companies did that anymore....lol. I may just do that. Thanks!

but.....there is another thing wrong w/ it....I was beeing a dumbass w/ the scissors and accidently cut the main wire coming from the servo going to the connector...

Would they still take it?

send it all back to them connector and all. get thier address and everything from thier website, google is your friend. i belive they have a form you print out and fill in to mail with it.

Lol, look at what hitec says is NOT covered by warranty:

"What is Not Covered?
Our warranty does not cover cosmetic damages, damages caused by acts of God, misuse, abuse, negligence, improper installation or damages caused by alteration by unauthorized persons. Additionally our warranty does not cover any damage sustained or loss of use to any device in which the product was installed in an or used to control. "

LOL, "....damages caused by acts of God..."

doesn't matter. they fix anything that comes through thier door. hitec is famous for that. just send it in.

never know until you try..... Call hitec and get a RA (return authorization) number...send a nice nice note explaining what you did and how much you love their products and suck ass real good and they'll probably send ya a new one cause it's cheaper for them than fixing it.....

LOL and don't forget how they treated you good or bad next time you need to buy a new servo

Well, I plan to send it in tommorrow probably so I'll let you all know how it goes in a few weeks...

Great, I sent it into hitec, and called today to see what the status of it is, but apparently, they never even recieved a package or anything from my zip code. So, it appears that f**kin usps lost it. And of course my package wasn't insured, or tracked or anything like that...

(I sent it priority 2 weeks ago so they definately should've recieved it...)

CVEC....Put down the pipe and walk away;)

On the 29th you were gonna send it tomorrow... the 30th....now one week and one day later....you sent it two weeks ago

Give it time, it's not the speediest process...but Hitec has great customer support.

Mr T

lol, ok, I did exaggerate a little, but still, they should've recieved it by now...and if it isn't lost, I wouldn't doubt if they thought it was something suspecious and had to open it, the box was a lil torn up and had to be taped up a lot...lol, and for all I know, the servo looked like an explosive device...

Just razzin ya....like I said, give it time. It's probably there, but hasn't made it to a reporting point in the process. Did you use the form from their website?

Mr T

its not an overnight process. come back and complain when its been a month.
