I bought a revo about a week ago and just now have had time to break in the motor. I got all the way to the last tank and thought I was taking a controlled turn around. I'm not sure if the it was my fault that if flipped over or something tweaked. Any ways the truck ended up flipping over and stalling by the time I got there. I tried starting it back up then realized my glow plug burned out on the easy start so I ran back to the house to get a new one. Put that one in and started it up again to finish off my LAST tank of fuel and wouldn't you know it the throttle servo wouldn't work. So I ran back to the house to grab some fresh AA's thinking that maybe my batteries were dead. Replaced those and nothing. So I took the receiver apart and pulled all the connections apart and blew em out with a little lung power and made sure they went back in snugly. Tried again and still nothing. So I was messing with the servo and noticed that the actual servo will move. I pretty much locks into place and gets stuck in brake. If I turn off the receiver and push the servo to neutral position it will stay in neutral but wont give it gas so to speak. But if I push the brakes it goes back and locks there. When I turn it off and back on nothing happens it still stays in brake. I pulled the crystals too to check on them they seem fine. When its turned off I can push the servo all the way back to where it would be giving it gas but obviously doesn't stat there. But that saying that there isn't anything mechanically wrong with it. the servo IS capable of going both directions throttle and break I just don't know why it wont. I am way to eager to race this thing around for this to be happening!!! PLEASE HELP!!!!! It's probably something really stupid and easy but I dunno what's wrong. Thanks if you can help.

Swap the steering servo over to the throttle/brake and get a new high torque metal gear servo for the steering and make sure to get the horns to match the servo for the intended vehicle..

this happened to my my savage steering servo it gets stuck.I had to buy a new servo make sure it is metal and has high torque=p:D

Greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet. Sounds like I'm to the hobby store for a new servo. Thanks for your help guys. I'll let you know if that's what my lhs guy says. Thank again.

Traxxas servos are futaba splined by the way. A cheap way is getting a futaba S3305. Not the best by any means, but metal geared and stronger than stock, so you will get better brakes and a servo that isn't really overworked.

Yeah so I took the whole thing to my lhs and he tested the reciever and the servo. Wouldn't you know it the servo was bad. So I wasn't wrong on my hunch. Thanks for those who replied.

Thats the only bad thing about this hobby, it can be the simplest thing in the universe that puts ur rig down and out, and sometimes a cheap thing will do the same thing to you, my rig was down and out because of fuel line, (i didn't have any that would work) so we all feel ur pain man believe me

At least it was a simple fix. You could have had to replace something much worse.

this happened to me in a wierd way...not with a Revo - but i own a Duratrax Raze buggy i bash all the time now..and the throttle quit working 2 weeks ago..i did the ame deal...replaced the batteries - checked the connections..nada! so when i got home all sad from my local BMX track i moved the connectors from one reciever position to the other - the steering servo worked on the throttle servo channel - but the throttle servo still didn't work..so i knew the radio and reciever were fine..thankfully i had a spare servo..plugged it in and it worked...so bad servo..and only with like 5 hours on it..maybe it was the 20 foot table top jumps i was doing that killed it :D
