I just completed my SS kit and I have a couple questions. I did the OFNA linkage mod and as I was testing/setting up my linkages, for some reason at wide open throttle the brakes are engaging, the brakes are engaging normally when I apply brake, at neutral no brake drag. Do I need to make some kind of adjustment? Also how do I know if the slipper clutch is properly adjusted, I followed the directions in manual(tighten nut all the way then 1/2 turn open). There is still alot of resistance in the spur gear when turned counterclockwise, I am not too familiar with this slipper clutch setup, any tips on this also..thanks

Do you have a pic of your linkage mod? Sounds like you have something a bit out of wack.

As for the spur, turning it counter cw is the direction you turn it to make the one-way in the trans engage, so it's turning the wheels.

Is there a lot of resistance with the wheels off the ground and your xmitter/receiver on? If so, you may have your brakes being kicked in and would need to mess with the linkage so that it will free wheel when the throttle is at nuetral.

I found out what the linkage problem was, apparently at full throttle the servo arm was making contact with the purple piece on the brake arm causing the brakes to activate. I moved it down about 1/4 inch and its not activating the brake anymore at full throttle. I have no binding at neutral, I guess I will tinker with slipper nut a little more, I assume its safer to make a little looser when in doubt?

I don't really understand what your trying to say... if it's hard to turn and make the wheels turn, then it's something in your drive line.

The slipper is intended to slip on hard landings when your on the gas. Tightening or loosening it will have no affect on resistance in the drive train. It will only may it slip or not slip when you hammer the throttle.

If it's difficult to turn and to get the wheels moving, you have something binding. It's not the slipper.

Ok I understand now the purpose of the slipper. I have no binding and everything is moving cleanly in the drivetrain. I was just a little confused on how to adjust the slipper clutch, because in the manual it says you should be able to hold the wheels apply pressure to the spur gear and it should slip. thanks
