Sure does. I had a friend that worked in the financial department of comcast, he told me comcast sets the price according to what that particular area is willing to pay. Example, if no one in a said zone ever complains about the price, comcast will raise it until the complaints start comming in, at that point they know they reached the max price they can charge, after that, they will start with promotions to get more money; they will give you 3 months free for HBO if you pay for 9 months and so on. Call and tell them your job is cutting your hours and you can't afford the service anymore and you would like to continue with them if they lower the price, i bet they do it..

Compared to what we get where I live, Comcast is a great deal. Reach Broadband is exactly as described in the video. It's scary when you know more about cable TV than your installer....

I do the same thing (more or less) with Time Warner. Every year when my "promo price" runs out and it goes up to full price i call them up and tell them that I'm not paying $X/mo. and that I'm switching to AT&T if they can't figure out some way to get my bills more in line with what AT&T charges and they always find some new promo to put me under. Some years its just a litlle bit cheaper some years its almost half price.
