Ok, I think I want to pull the trigger and go brushless on one of my crawlers. I keep reading about the Furtiek Kimodo/Lizard Pro set up.

But then IGOUPRC 2204 2400KV Brushless Outrunner Motor with Transmission & 30A Brushless Mini Esc recently have been reading about the GOUPRC 2204 2400KV Brushless Outrunner Motor with Transmission & 30A Brushless Mini Esc - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DNMGMTFC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2DMYLKCSA4EM3&th=1

What I am trying to figure out is can I use my factory ESC as the receiver and keep my controller, or do I need to replace those, too?

I am still fairly new to this and some of it is making sense, and some just leads to more questions

It might help to include information on what crawler your working on.

From what I've seen, if you have a 2 in 1 esc/receiver combo, you have to get a new stand alone receiver if you go to a stand alone esc.

If I remember right, there was a way to chop off the Rx part off the combo. But they did a few updates on the electronics so not sure anymore.

Btw... THIS is a Yeti:

😁

Edit: a SLT protocol rx should work. The info online ain't exactly clear.
