I got my HK order today :)

Buggy is wired up and ready to go, mods were:

2x Bluebird Digital High Torque/High Speed Servos 10.2Kg and 0.12sec at 6V
1x Turnigy LiPo BEC 6V
1x Turnigy LiPo Rx Pack 2100mAh 2s3p

The servos are very fast and very strong, the sound good too, came in a nice little green plastic case with all the bits, including (though I didn't use them) Alloy collars for going round the base of the horn to prevent them slipping on the splines (they are just about powerful enough to strip the plastic splines other wise, but I couldn't be bothered fitting them.

Steering is fairly instant to full lock, even with the buggy on the carpet. Letting go of the wheel at full lock causes the whole buggy to shake as the servo snaps back to centre and then follows the 'bouncing' control wheel on the Tx.

Brakes at full servo torque lock all four wheels pretty well on carpet. Might be a bit of a handful to drive that way. I'm considering putting a foam block under the brake end of the throttle trigger to get an easier finer control.

So, I'm going to go run it and hopefully get more than a tank out of it before something breaks this time!

How long? Roughly about 12 seconds. LOL

Started it, drove it onto the field, give it too much juice when cold, it conked out. I pulled the pull start and it snapped.

What is it with me and these things :(

I have had absolutely zero luck this week with RC stuff. I fixed the pull start went back up to the field (twice cause I forgot the Tx the first time).

I managed to do 2 jumps, just finding the sweet spot on the grass mound and .... a wheel fell off followed closely by the wheel hub and axle pin.

My fault. Wheels were "workshop tight", not running tight.

My RC Heli was crashed on Saturday, rebuilt, and then 4 trips to the field it developed mechanical problems just after take off and had to go back to the bench.

Maybe I'll get all my bad luck out of the way before summer starts properly.

Don't feel bad man, as Racer1966 said, sometimes it just happens. When I built my new rig, the first three trips out I never even got to drive it, not ONCE. All little things that were fixable mind you, but I prefer to work on things indoors where it's warm, and I can keep track of parts. I'm still ironing out little things, but it gets a little better each time out. Good luck man.

Yea, I'm hanging in there for now.

I found the hub and I have spare axle pins, the set screw looks to still be in the axle. So, buggy can go again tomorrow. :)

I'm still having trouble with roll overs. I'm maybe asking too much, but I'd prefer the thing slide rather than roll. The anti-roll bars are weak. I have got full preload on the shocks, I have ramped down the 'droop' screws so the unloaded ride height is just more than an inch. When it's sitting fully fueled the sus arms are level, ride height less than an inch and... I have put heavy oil in the centre diff to try and give it an oversteer tendency, which works under power at low speeds.

If I blast out away from me, drop the power and turn tight it will roll over. Is there anything more I can do to try and make it slide instead of roll?
