Just to let you know, it is quite beat up. It has some holes drilled in it, but it will work. Also, at some point, I'm gonna design a 1/8 buggy chassis conversion kit for the slashes. I'll let you know when I get around to it.

You still looking for a charger? I've got an old Venom charger, the fan doesn't work but I've never had it overheat, it has ports for balance leads, and is fairly quick. Also, it's really quiet. I'd say 10 bucks, plus shipping.

Well technically this thread is in the classifieds JK I'll put it in there.

Going back to the ole Weller station even though it's 25 years old and a lower wattage, it stays consistent with the heat. This one the blue one sometimes it likes to work sometimes it doesn't. Like solder would melt on the tip but when you go to solder something to a part it would barely heat it back up again. Even at full blast. Like it worked when I soldered a old motor back up and worked fine but soldering 2 new motors it didn't like to corporate with me that day. Sooo. I think that's why I can't solder. Imo probably not the best for large wire but if for smaller wire or micro boards it should be fine. Payed 40 bucks for it so. I get what I get.

Sounds like the tip isn't tinned right, loose or needs replaced.

Nope it's tinned. Not loose at all. Per my uncle that's the pro. ("It's junk")

I have a Hakko and its awesome! Can't recommend it enough!
