Ya I do have to say sweet truck. How does that thing move though I mean honestly??? Looks heaver than my 1:1 ford Ranger.

How does it move?? Vid #1 , Vid #2 These vids are only initial shakedown runs.

As for the weight, I've never checked what it weighs, but, I'd estimate it to be considerably more than 15lbs. 99% of the people that have an EK4 cannot comprehend the amount of torque that this 70 puts out; they read that it has 3 times the torque of a 21 and that's all they know! Pie Wagon illustrates just what the 70's torque is capable of!

RC Jack, I am new to this forum and was wondering what kind of rims you are runing on your truck? Also they look like they fit the Imex jumbomaxx tires.

Like the rest of the truck, I machined those as well. They're the same size rims as the MP & EK.

hey jack, i have done a little machining but i dont have much time to do it. i am in a machine trades class at the local vocational high school but i always have school work to do. i am amking motor mounts for my rc10ds and I'm going to make caster blocks to let me use different a-arms, i can't find replacements for mine anywhere. i was just thinking however, what do you think it would take to make a set of front and rear a-arms?

I think that's great that you're taking a machining class in school, bkunar5356!!

To make a set of A-arms would be very easy to do. Using your stock A-arms as your model, take your measurements of the length, width, the mounting and where the knuckles mount. Just take your time & plan it out.

This is an old thread, and RC Jack hasn't been here since 2005, so don't ask any questions that you expect him to respond to.
I'm glad the link to his custom machining work is still working. I've noticed a lot of his photos have been taken down.
Bring a towel, you'll drool. Yes, all the difs and disc breaks were custom machined by him. Just in case anyone missed his link, here it is again. It's a MUST see.
