The Mgt The Tmaxx The Savage

whats everyone take on the MGT? what about the TMAXX 2.5 or savage 25?

I ask because I want the MGT but I hear so many haters or people crappin on the rides when they have NEVER really compared them side by side. I need INFO AND FEEDBACK!!!:alarm:

I dunno who has all three to give a fair opinion. I'm happy with my Maxx 2.5 I hear good things about the Savage. As far as the MGT, I really have no idea. I'm sure one of the mags will do a battle test soon.

Only thing I know about the maxx and the savage is that out of the two in stock form that the savage will take more of a beating out of the box without stuff breaking. I hear the maxx suspension arms are a little weak is all. I know a set of RPM arms would take care of that in a heart beat. Give the MGT a little time I am sure you will get an honest review on it somewhere. I really tend not to take my opinions from the RC magazines as they are just that opinions. The MGT from what I have seen though really seems to be a nice solid truck and it's such a different design the way the motor is mounted. I am a little intrigued. Later

use the search function. i know thereis tons of goods and bads for the savage and tmaxx. just not sure aout he Mgt. thats whatthe search is for.

well i you read all the magazines the monster GT has got good reviews in all of them....And i have an online buddy who bought one and he is very satisfied with his...The monster GT is higher quality than a savage IMO....Monster GT comes with CVA'S all way around and has 4 spider gears in each diffs...The savage comes with dog bones and only has 2 spider gears in it....Both truck needs a better steering servo and servo saver.....

I am getting one but it will hopefully come a little after X_MAS. I do have a TMAXX right now NEW but I am still debating keeping it or not. I really want to start Bashing. I am impatient. Please guys Keep em coming!!

There is a section of this site for the MGT. You may find some information there, but for the most part it is a really new truck and not too many people here have picked one up. You could become one of the site experts on the thing. Give us you report when it comes in.

As for the Savage and the T-Maxx, I own one of each. I'll just say this...I have spent well over a thousand dollars to make my T-Maxx survive my driving habits and that was out of necessity...replacing parts and upgrading to stronger parts. I have spent only about an extra six hundred bucks on the Savage and that was by choice...upgraded engine, beefier suspension, etc.

If I had money for only one, I'd get the Savage hands down. Good aftermarket support that grows daily. Strong runner out of the box.

The T-Maxx is old news and rapidly getting beaten up by a number of new competitive trucks. The MGT is one of those new front runners...the only thing I would say about the MGT (not being an owner of one limits my opinions) is that being so new, it does not have the aftermarket support (but that will come).
