When I purchased my new MT10 V2 this month, I had read a lot about the braking issue and was prepared to deal with it if necessary. I also learned that the MT10 could ship with one of two receivers: the SC600 or SC600-BL2, the latter of which is programmable, eliminating the issue. A-Main was not able to tell me which Rx the current MT10 shipped with. Associated Electronics said it may have either.

I was relieved to receive the SC600-BL2 in my new MT10. I immediately adjusted the braking force with ESC programming. After running it a bit on the remaining inch or two of hard frozen snow here, I thought I'd like to increase the effect of the Dynamic Vehicle Control. I was surprised to find that the Rx in my current MT10 is the XP-R4, not the XP-R4DVC. So, no adjusting... there is no DVC in my MT10.

So, I guess current buyers gained the programmable ESC to eliminate the infamous braking issue but lost the DVC. Bummer! I have an adjustable-from-the-Tx gyro in my Losi Baja Rey 2.0 and really like it. I was hoping to have at least a programmable gyro on the MT10, but it's apparently no longer included. Maybe I'll add something...

I found a new XP-R4DVC receiver w/gyro for $30. That's cheaper than a stand-alone gyro, and the truck's XP-R4 receiver that's being replaced will become a spare or the Rx for a new build. Win-win. :)

I was unable to find any information from the manufacturer on the XP-R4DVC receiver. It does show as a companion to the XP120 transmitter in the instructions that came with my MT10V2. Did anyone get that DVC receiver in their MT10 V2s? Anyone have it in their older MT10s?

My only experience with single-axis gyros is that they have to be mounted with respect to the axis they will be sensing. I'm not sure if that XP-R4DVC receiver ever came standard with the MT10 V2. The truck has a receiver box that holds the receiver in an orientation perpendicular to the long axis of the vehicle. I did notice that older MT10s has a different receiver box that may have (I don't know) held the receiver with its long side oriented parallel to the truck's long axis.

My concern is that the DVC-equipped receiver I have on order needs to been in an orientation that won't allow it to fit in my MT10 V2's receiver box.

I you have any experience with the DVC receiver in the original or V2 MT10, please share your information.

The receiver box was the same style and mounted in the same location on both versions I have owned, and the first version came with the XP120 and DVC receiver.

Thanks. I guess I don't have to worry about the DVC receiver working OK in my receiver box. That's the layout on my current MT10. I saw parts diagrams of some older V1 models that had an elongated, tapered receiver box; that's why I was curious.

Did you miss having DVC on your second one? I like having it on my Baja Rey 2.0, but it's a little more convenient there as that one is adjustable with a knob on the transmitter.

Thanks for the information. :thumbs-up:
