i was just wondering, since I'm new to this hobby what is the best on road 1:10 nitro car. i want it to just frig around. i need one that i can put alot of after market on it?

ya the rs4 is a nice car with plenty of aftermarket support and parts are avaliable everywhere.

If you have some money, go for a Mugen MTX4 (Or MTX4R). If you're looking for a low-price car, the NTC3.

how silly you want to be where money is concerned? lol

the Serpent 910 ( i think it the newest modle number) is said to be one hella car. i think it even has a 3 speed. but the sticker shock is Shocking at about 800.00 for the roller kit. lol

i have a CEN CT-5 RTR that for the 350.00 it cost is worth every penny and then some impo. you can get plenty of upgrades/hopups for it, but you ll likly have to buy them online, as not many LHS' carry CEN.

the most popular is prolly the HPIs where the general guy is concerned, almost any LHS will have and carry a good assortment of stock and Hopup parts.
but the hardcore race guys run the serpants and muegens for the most part.

i ve heard others get giggy on the Team Magic 1/10th onroad, but i have no clue on them. when i first seen heard of them, i thought they were a himoto under a different name, but those that have them swear they are a top shelf unit.

Another vote for the Mugen, I have one and it's AWESOME - and very tough - being a bit of a noob I've stacked it hard a couple of times and only time it's actually had any damage I was running with body off while tuning (snapped a lower susp. arm and that was it - all setup and throttle linkage etc still sweet as - went high speed into my big car's wheel).
It'll wreck your wallet but worth it imo.

****Although reading the original post if you just wanna frig around maybe not if ride hight and everything set nice it's too low for carparks etc as stones and stuff get in near the belts so RS4 might be better as shaft drive.

I am going to stick with the Team Associated NTC3. Either the RTR or the Factory Team Kit would be great.

Both Race worthy and/or Bach worthy. Being a shaft driven car, it is durable than a belt drive car.

Take a look for yourself at their site TEAM ASSOCIATED

Id have to agree with everyone here^^ I have a $2,000 setup that I can't even drive on the street with my body on, and when I do, I have to blow the damn street with a blower for about 2 hours, then the freaking wind blows everything right back in place, lol. The Mugen MRX4-R is one hell of a ride, dont get me wrong, but just to not break traction I have to pour coke on the tires and let it sit in the sun so it gets nice and sticky(I usually do that before I blow the parking lot/street). Also, the body I have is a GTP aka A Spec body, so its basically a vacum, as soon as the downforce hits from the wind, its literally on the ground.. So, just take your time and make sure the car you get is something you can actually use. Keyword is take your time, dont make a huge investment like I did to only find out its a door stopper.

I think I might get th cen ct-5 its 4 wheele drive is it a good set up? I am new to the on road cars. Thanks guys!

belt drive car are more for the track cause of the weight i use to run alot of inroads shaft car are ok cause there more to have fun belt can take the power of a big block shaft can't

Look in the forsale thread,I have 3 tc3s listed one is still new un built..tc3s have a ton of a/m parts out there..you can't go wrong with shaft drive
