Might aswell start a thread for my TF 2 build also. This is my first RC4WD kit and WOW! The transmission and transfer case are like pieces of art work. In person they are amazing! Opened the box to pull the frame rails cause I am going to body match the colours.

As I keep trying to talk myself out of the $700 tf2 sr5, you go and do this.🤨😫

Congrats on this masterpiece.

Well this showed up on Friday and I got the frame rails and u-bolts colour matched for the body. Used .5ml of flat black in 10ml of flat red. I love how it turned out. Goal for today is to get the chassis rolling.

Got a roller now. Pulled the drive train apart to see if they were lubed up, thank fully they were. Eventually I will tare i to them and replace with Red and Tacky, my go to grease. A couple small issues I have run into. The left side transmission mount was about .5mm too wide, so I filed it down to size. The second is that the rear shocks hit the u-bolts on the axle. I have some spacers I will try to grab the clearance needed. I also broke one of the lug nuts putting the tires together, my own fault.

that TF2 looks like an amazing truck!
It is really neat to build. Very basic but it all makes sense.
Shocks are now clearing the u-joints. Fuel cell receiver box needs some detail along with the brass spacers. Motor leads need to be soldered on and motor mounting today.

I didn’t get as much done today as I would have liked but oh well. Motor is mounted and steering servo is in. Started painting the fuel cell receiver box and started prepping the body for paint.
