Ok guys I need some info on temp gun calibration, any Ideas method that you can do at home. I have a Raytek MT4, and I would just like to check it.
Thanks

I don't know if they can be calibrated. Thats a good question.
Heat your oven up to 200 and check it then 300 and so on..

If you have an oven thermometer to double check it all the better.

That's be good. But if someone else in the neighborhood has a temp gun, use that. If they match, then you're good to go.

You could also check it against a container of newly boiled water (as in has just been boiled) or against some fresh ice from your freezer. The thing should read within a couple of degrees of 212 and 32 Farenheit respectively.

I used the BBQ method this evening. :smoke:
Checked the gun against a digital BBQ thermometer while cooking dinner. It works great and adds the wood-flavor smell to the temp gun.
