having big launches doesn't mean faster times, slower is faster...if that makes sense, smoother laps, even if you have to double, single a triple will be faster, when i started racing i always thought bigger motors meant i was faster, now i can take a 17.5 in my sct and run in a mod limited 13.5 class because i know my lines, my lap times are an average a little less than a 1/2 second faster, simply because I'm smoother and run the same lines every lap, where the guys running the 13.5 motors are all over the track trying to make up time they have lost by flipping on jumps, over shooting corners or just simply spinning out under power.

Yep ran two more identical packs on the two buggies and just like you said the tekin powered being a lil more under control and holding the lines embarrassed the stronger hobbywing setup, wanna tryn be sure the setups are as close as possible tomorrow also to take out the bias. Both handle really well but like you said going straight wit the tekin system compared to high jumping and sliding wit the hobbywing I'm defi netly better suited for the tekin. Thanks Maxx, got alot of praticing this week gotta change my style, lol.

Almost everyone at my track runs tekin in 1/8 and sc mod and a few other brands. Most blinky people run the Trinity D3.5, the rest tekin. At the end of the race day the only real factor is how well you controlled your rig. Some are faster some are slower than others and that usually doesn't matter.

We do have a few sponsored guys from lrp, track power, AE, and even still the better lines always win.

At least that what happens every week at my track. This especially applies in blinky. Wreck once, your done. That's why I use loads of expo on my throttle :P

Throttle control is the name of the game along with smooth steering.
