Tamiya Hornet Re-Release

Has anyone built one of these re released retro RCs yet? I was thinking it might be a fun little project to build one and for the price you can't beat it. They are $115 from Tower and all that is needed is a TX/RX and servo.

And what are your impressions? Worth the build time/ money. How do you use it?

Shelf queen.

I built and beat the snot out of the original back in the 80's and jumped all over the chance to build one again.

Fun and easy build and IMO worth it whether you shelf it or run it.

I was kind of planning on building it to shelf. Maybe run it a little in some clean conditions. Thanks for the feedback. Might have to pick one up over the cold chicago winter.

^^THIS, they're all cool, but that Avante still looks advanced, even today. I may actually build that Lunchbox I've talked about for years this winter.

I just got done building an original Hornet and The Frog i got both for just
about nothing and i really like them
