I just picked up the Tamiya Hornet re-release model. Used to have one as a kid, thought it would be fun.

Problem I’m running into is the speed controller (Hobbywing THW 1060 brushed ESC) has a built in power switch that doesn’t fit the spot on the chassis to bolt it on.

Is there an adapter mount or any way to remedy this? I’ve scoured the web with no luck.

Also, not sure how good I’d be with soldering or splicing wires, so any sort of mount adapter would be preferable.

Just use double sided tape and stick it somewhere

Or just cut the wires, solder them together, and use heat shrink tubing over the joint. Then just consider plugging in the battery as turning it on.

Or go to an electronics store and buy a switch that fits the opening if the car didn't come with one. If it did, cut it off and solder it in place of the HW one.

Lots of easy fixes here.

you want to stick it so on is facing forward . that so if you crash it wont switch power off.
