Hello to all!! And thanks for all the help on my last servo question!! I'm in the middle of preping to plasti dip all the servos on my LST2 and i was wondering what the best way is to remove the steering servo's... I've got the bottom skid plate off and thats about it.. Anyone kno an easy way to get them out?
And does anyone have any helpful hints to plasti dipping? or anything that i shouldn't do? Thanks again!!

you definitly want an old screw in top.... that way you can reinstall the servo horn without trying to screw into rubber....

Good tip, I wasn't planning on doing that. Thanks. Any tips on getting the steering servos out without stripping the whole truck down?

Befor you plastic dip make sure u put greese in the bearings i use di-electrics greese and i put it on all the edges where the case meets

You can pop the ball cup right off the bell crank, then pop it back on when your putting it back together. (Noted in yellow circles below)

You may have to turn the wheels one way or the other to get the bellcrank out of the way as you remove each servo.

I swapped one of mine out when I broke it and I'm pretty sure all I had to take off was the front skid, pop the ball cups off the bell crank and take out the servo screws. Took a bit of wiggling to get it out, but that's all I had to take off.

If you can't get clearance around the bell cranks, screw a bolt in the bell crank pivot post (circled in green) and pull it out. This should let you get the bell crank out of the way enough to get the servo out.

Thanks a TON guys!!! I really appriciate all the help!!! Big props on this website too!! I'll let ya kno how the waterproofing goes.. I dont kno if i can get pics up but i'll try..
 
Gettin ready to re-install my waterproof servos!! I think i dipped a little to fast and ended up with some pitting so i just spot treated them. Other than that everything went really smooth.. Thanks a lot for the help!!
