I have heard from other drivers that the T-Maxx breaks alot and the revo is a better choice. Is that true?

IMO the Revo is much more durable. The T-Maxx is a money pit that need so be upgraded to even come close to the reliability of the Revo. I have both trucks and the Revo is my MT of choice over the two of them.

I have to say that having owned a t-maxx for about 3 years i have spent a stupid amount of money on it and it still breaks all the time. I can't comment on the revo or other trucks because i havent owned them but as i dont drive it hard i can't see why i have been having so many problems with my maxx. Possibly best to check out the other alternatives or go watch a few races and make your decision based on what you see there.

Is there ways to boost a t-maxx durability and how long can the motor last ?

yeah you can make it more durable by replacing every thing traxxas made on it like this

I finally got my maxx to be a friggin tank and now I'm just into racing buggies so it sits here looking sad and pitiful at me.....so it's for sale......I have had 6 T-maxxes and have played around w/ mods on them for about a year now and figured this wa the best way to get a great handling MT that can crush any 1/8 scale MT and give most of the race Revos a real hard time....I never raced it during the sanctioned days but have run against plenty of guys to know what it could do on race day....

lol...Do you think the revo is better than the t-maxx?
Whats the pros and cons of the revo, anything i have to be carefull about when i buy one????

revos are awsome....the suspension is amazing....I don't think they can be made as tough as a MT w/ the typical dual arm susensions though.....I've seen em take some pretty bad crashes and be fine......I did mine like that cause I knew the maxx very well and found some good deals on parts....the maxx will probably stop being made soon I'm sure....the Revo is just killing the maxx sales so I don't see them keeping that line for very long....

LOL...seeing your's doesn't make me feel so bad when people ask me why did you do a T-maxx???
I just say you gotta see Fast Eddy's Cybermaxx.....
and then I remember this one
Mutant-1.webp

I don't know if I should Laugh or cry when this one is back together again

I wasn't trying to turn this into a pissing contest ed.....lol...just when you have so much time and dough invested in these and noone around you understands it, I just like to have SOME validation for doing something this assanine.....incase you were wondering...you know staying up at nite trying to rack your brain on this, yes...this is the same bas ass truck that makes children run in fear in the fields...

Are you kidding?
We have so much stupidity wrapped up tn these things we need to show them off.
When I started the T-Maxx was the only MT out there. The more I used it the worse it got.I knew I could make one that would hold together and I did. The only issue is that it cost so damn much and 90% of the truck wasn't made by Traxxas.

I think everyone that was as stupid as we were should unite when anyone asks what it takes to make a T-Maxx that wont brake.

Here you guys go.

LOL
Exactly
I tried the savage and just plain did not like the way it drives...great for just beating the crap out of it but handles like a jacked up brick on on tires.....the maxx is a great design they just cheesed out on materials...I sort of do that to people that buy a maxx and then want a better truck from it...I bring out the "warning, you will have to spend OBSCENE money to make what you want" truck....they usually get the picture then and buy a buggy.....but of course they buy a mayhem or something similar (not bad buggies, just not on the level you really want for racing)......

My friend told me that he was going full throtle in a parming lot and his right front wheel hit a parking brick, the T-Maxx did a 720 degre spin. My friend was scared shitless, he was sure something broke but when he went up to it, it was perfectly fine so I can guess the maxx has ok durability.

The Maxx is a durable RC,sure it isnt the most durable. I have only broke my Maxx twice as to were I was out for the day. Once was WOT in to a curb and the other was WOT in to a cement pipe. And I would like to see some guy here put his arm out and hit a cement object going 40mph and walk away just fine.

The Maxx is a good choice.
