T-Maxx undurable?

The REVO is a great choice, it is very different. Not as durable as some other bashers it is more of a racer. But still a good choice.

The Revo is more durable than the Maxx is... There are few weak parts on the Revo, compared to almost every part on the maxx that is weak and breaks fairly easily...

Hey guy's just bought a T-Maxx and I am the one who Nitro_Fanatic was talking about I went WOT into a parking brick. So are you guy's saying that my choice of buying my Maxx wasn't the right choice.

T-Maxx I bought mostly so I can do up bodies real easy. There are a lot of
bodies out there that easily fit the Maxx. My Revo sees a lot of informal racing and light bashing. The handling is so different from the Maxx. You have drive one to know what I speak of. It's almost unGodly how it can soak up rough terrain.

damn eddy what % of that truck is still original??

out of all 3 of those trucks I'd bet that only 2% total is still original parts....the Mutant has only the bumper mounts are stock...that's it.....the other one has stock axles, throttle bellcrank and tranny case....I'm sure Ed's is in the same category of (NO)T-Maxx

The only thing my maxx has stock is the throttle linkage rod... Thats it... Every part, screw, nut, etc... has been replaced... gettin some UE 8 spider diffs soon to fit in my new 1/8th bulkless from fastlane... Should work good...

you need to post some pics of your monster maxx in this thread....this is how you make an indestructable T-Maxx....lol...C'mon do it..Do it.....Do it.....

well currently neither of mine are complete either....I'm trying to sell one and still need to get back into the machine shop to finish the other one.....but they are still some damn impressive Maxxes...they have both been run I just haven't had time to finish the one......wanna race? :D

I wouldnt say so, They are awesome trucks but defiently have weak points, I seem to have found all of those lmao. I think the weekest points are the bulkheads I have broke all 4 lol and the A-arms. I bought aluminum bulks from Plaidfish and have Rpm arms all around, unfortuantly they are the narrow ones, I have the older T-Maxx but I think it can probally take a beating :hammer: now, The nice part about the T-Maxx you can buy upgrades for every part of the truck as you can see by looking at Plaid's and Eddy's Trucks, by the way very nice rides guys!!

aluminum bulheads (diff cases too if you can)....RRP Diffs.....RRP/HCR tranny gears....MIP CVDs.......RPM arms/knuckles/towers (if you bash aluminum towers if you race).......and a mill (user preference).....the lighter chassis if you can but not neccessary....shocks...big bores good for the price or the dynamite ones.....racers edge skids for racing heavier ones for bashing.....that's if you want to keep it all 10th scale.....add a .21 conversion kit and they really kick ass.....and wheels...bowties for hardpack dry track.....mulchers for wet/moist tracks.......chevron styles for all terain bashing

Plaid, i think i have all that x10... I really need to order my diffs... I'm itchin to drive.

Thats what you pretty much need to make it more durable but you forgot one thing plaidfish, money, money, and lots of money.....
IMO Id just buy a truck that is already durable right from the box like the REVO!

I'll bet you my maxx will not only out run your LeAVE-O (behind in the dust) it will take a way higher jump and still keep going......and to make the revo 1/2 what mine is would cost you 2 times the dough......I'm a cheap bastard I don't drop 400 each trip to the LHS....I barter and trade for stuff all the time....I haven't gotten a hold of a nice revo yet but I've run against some ridiculously hooked up ones to know what they can do......but I honestly feel if you hop up any MT you can make it bomb proof....Ed had the same thought as I did apparently.....I think the design of the maxx is way more beefy than a revo to begin w/.....they just cheapo'd out on the parts & materials....but the design is pretty beefy.....same as the savage...it has it's flaws too...may be tough but I think it handles like a pig....and to get one of those to handle well and be bulletproof you spend just as much cash to do a maxx.......it's all personal prefference and making it wha tyou want it to be in the end.....I'd like to do something like that Piewagon thing....that's just pure art
