I am looking for a spiked tire for my tmaxx. Something that will fit on my stock maxx wheels. Price isnt an issue. Suggestions please.
 
Not quite the tread I was looking for but it says they are great for grass or dirt and thats what I want. Thanks.

I second that! Those look awesome. So does the F-150 raptor body on their demo pics. (I still want to get the 250 once I get mine running though)

Thanks CheckMyBrain for asking this, and theant for answering it, because one of my first upgrades was gonna be tires, and I think these might be it!
 
Trust me, those hook up super awesome!! and they do look sweet! Proline makes some fantastic products. yeah, you wont be disappointed if you pick these up. I was also looking at getting either the F150 Raptor body or the F650 body, both made by Proline. The Raptor body is a bit wider than the F650 body so less chance of rubbage on the tires when cornering if I go with the F650...not abig deal though, they both look great.

Well it's a good thing I saw this thread and read through it. I didn't realize it until today, but one of my tires is pretty messed up. Like where it is glued onto the rim has separated, moved outward (away from the rim) about 1/4 inch, then reattached itself. I know that probably makes little sense, but it is not easy to describe.

The really odd thing is that I looked at the tires. All of them, individually. I never noticed this problem before today. Maybe I'm just losing it.

Either way now, I'm gonna be in the market for new tires.

Actually i know exactly what you are talking about, my stock tires did that too. They just get old and after ballooning out hundreds of times they are destined to come apart at some point. You would really have to look closely and pull at the side wall of the tire to notice that it is seperated. you will want to replace the tires sooner than later, it is going to make for a pretty bumpy uneven ride, you can do it of course, its not really going to hurt anything but it can be a bit of a nuissance.
 
actually it could loosen up the pins in the shafts from the shake, so If you do still run it try to keep the full throttle action to a minimum until you get new treads... I have the badlands on my classic tmaxx that I have 2wd at the moment and I think thats what I will be getting everytime I need new treads.. well atleast for that rig and a couple others. you will love them they look cool/mean on the maxx and they work real good..


This is my classic with the badlands on it...

Yeah, good point, never even tought of that! Just change em out ASAP to be safe.
 
What tires/rims do you ahve now? Depending on your maxx, there are two different wheel sizes. Do you have standard 3.2" MT rims or the newer 3.8" rims like the revo?

The badlands are cool, but they seem to be smaller OD than typical MT tires, so you may want to take that into account. Less ride height, less top speed...

The most aggressive tire I ever ran were the pro-line mulchers:

They were rediculous on grass, but pretty squirrelly on hardpack and concrete. I didn't run them much on concrete as it would have chewed them up quickly. On grass, they were like velcro. Lots of turning traction roll overs, endo's from braking, wheelies galore...

I tend to go with more general use tires these days. A little slip in the grass is ok for bashing as long as they hold up well on pavement too.

Decent grip and pretty long wear life.
 
yeah that secound set is what I have on my 3.3's right now.. they tend to come off the beed sometimes on pavement and I have had a couple rip from spinning.... really soft rubber I love them in the winter because they are soft enough to still stay pliable.

that first set is pretty narly and the badlands are the same size as the stock classic t-maxx tires maybe even alittle taller cause of the treads.. They are smaller than the stock 3.3 tmaxx tires yes but I havent had a problem with them getting my rig where I want it to go...
 
The mulchers are what I wanted but can't seem to find them. I have both the 3.2 and 3.8 wheels.
