My recommendation:
1. Let your glo-ignitor charge over night.
2. Put a new glo plug in the engine (regardless of what the current one looks like).
3. Fresh tank of gas
4. Set the needles to factory pre-sets for the Sirio .18 and replace the missing O-ring.
5. Prime it just a couple of pulls on the pull start worth (do not overdo it).
6. Then give it a go. Once you get it going, then you can worry about tuning it.

Good idea on checking the current plug, but do not forget the above. I mentioned it early in the thread and it may have gotten overlooked.

it did run like a charm for the first two outings before i wrecked it......so it can't be too bad. i hope.

I'm trying to replace the guys screw ups that owned the car before me and its difficult with mylimited knowledge of the subject.

well i'll keep chuggin and never give up.!!!!lol:sleeping: :whip:

Hahaha I would like you all to know that I happen to work at the lhs here in Charlotte AKA HobbyTown. I've heard some pretty bad things about the franchise, and I've been to a different one in Boone, NC and to be honest it wasn't that great. If you're ever in the Charlotte, NC area, stop by and we'll change your mind! A good bit of our customers are regulars, and not because we're the only hs around, because we're not, but it's because of how much stock we carry and the level of service given to the customer. I agree, most HobbyTowns aren't that great, but it just all depends on the owners.

We're actually right near South Carolina.... about 10 mins away. Just depends on where in SC you are lol.

I am glad you spoke up, and am happy to be proven wrong from time to time. If there is a quality HobbyTown out there it is in the minority from everything that I have seen and heard.

I am thrilled to know that you run a decent one. Perhaps you could export to the rest of the franchise some of what makes your store work.

But as I said...nine times out of ten...you may be the one in ten that is the exception rather than the rule.

I charged the glow ignitor and the plug burned my thumb......so i guess thats what the problem was.lol

its 3:00am right now so i'll try in the morning.

i feel pretty dumb for letting that stump me, but now i know how long they last at least.

if I'm not driving should i always leave it on the charger? or wil it hold a charge for a reasonable amount of time?

thanks guys:flamer:  8-0

mine will last up to a month using it sparingly without charging so I think you are fine.....

I DO NOT recommend leaving it on the charger for extended periods of time (days). That would be bad for the battery.

I do recommend charging it over night prior to the days you know you are going to play with the RC. Always good to have the glo-ignitor topped off, because it sucks when the thing dies midway through a fun day of bashing.

so i charged the ignitor, o-ring is there, glowplug is new.....and still no start...WTF the olny thing isthe factory pin settings, which i donot know.

does anybody know factory settings for the sirio .18

any other things to look at?

HeLp Me

i found the factory settings and set the engine and still.......nothing.......not even a little bit of lovin......not even tryin to turn over.

3 1/2 on the low speed and 7 on the high speed. it's a decent starting point, but you'll still have to play with it.

sirio is factory set at high speed=5.5
low speed=2.5

well anyways, i got it runnin...thanks for all the help.

hmm....my manual here says 7 on the high, you're right about the 2 1/2 on the ls though.
