No, I don't think so. It's the same problem on the savage except the savage goes from fat to thin instead of thin to fat. I never had a "sealing" issue with the stock tank, just a breakage issue. I kid you not, I broke about 15 of those stupid things.

I think it had a lot to do with my setup, but I broke 5 with the stock 8-shock and stock shock towers setup. I broke them more frequently when I went with RPM towers and 4 OFNA shocks.

yeah the RPM towers are a bit spongey.....especially when you run 4 shocks......I had to get another set of Kyosho shocks on my truggy cause the tower and arms w/ only 4 shocks were twisting just enough to let my CVD pop out.....what's even more funny is I have NEVER busted a T-maxx tank......I've had the mounting holes get stripped, and I snapped a lid off cause I was pissed at it and needed to dump fuel in it so of course I grabbed it like a red headed step child and pulled too hard.....but never had one just break......

Not to ask a stupid question, but being as this gentleman lives in michigan, would it be possible guys that the plastic is brittle due to the cold?

Tom

It is definitely why we break more stuff.... In fact I broke so much stuff last winter I don't even run my stuff unless it is in the 50's. I broke 3 times as many, bumpers, shocks, body mounts and a couple of stock Tmaxx steering knuckles. The cold sucks man... I wish I lived in FL...... :)

Tom

I broke most of my tanks in the summer. By the time winter came around, I had replaced it with a buggy tank then I didn't have a problem. Actually, that same tank has been on my savage for 12 gallons worth of serious bashing...
