T-Maxx 2.5 Running wide open

I am trying to get my 2.5 motor idle set to the right setting with no luck.
Its wanting to run wide open all the time. And I am not even giving it gas by hand or the remote. If I turn the idle down it seems like it dont wanna run at all.

Now what?

How old is the engine? By that I mean, are you just starting the break-in process or is this a new problem on an old engine?

Its a new engine and not broke in yet.

Ah. Have you reset both your high speed and low speed needle to factory? Have you set the idle adjustment to have about a 1mm gap when you look down the carb throat? You do that with your remote and truck electronics on and at their resting positions, but not with the engine running. After you get it running, then you can fiddle with the idle and HSN/LSN when it actually running.

I've received engines with the HSN/LSN/idle all really really wrong. One truck had the HSN screwed completely in and it wouldn't even start up. Took me a bit to figure out that issue.
