Switched fuel......AMAZING

Not to correct you, but it was "shadey26 ntc3" that posted the theory.

Honestly, I don't care. I've found fuel that works well for me. A friend of mine blew up 2 OS 21 RG's running Top fuel. He blew up both engines with the same gallon of fuel. Also shattered a Thunder Tiger... I was there, he wasn't any harder on them than I would have been.

Then he changed fuel and engines. Now he has a HB PowerHouse 26 on is 21 maxx and is running O Donnel and added extra castor to the first gallon (upped the oil content about 4% for break-in).

He's run less than half a gallon since april, which is when he bought the engine. He was concerting every weekend or traveling for work. In the same amount of time, I've run through 7 gallons. 1 wildcat (used 3/4 gallon then gave up), 5 trinity and I'm on my last quart or so of the Byron fuel. The LHS didn't have the trinity I wanted. Just the platinum and Monster Brew.

You're right, Olds......Sorry Shady.
The odd thing is that I was never dissatisfied with Blue Thunder. I found it ran consistantly, and I never had a problem keeping my engine tuned. It's also the fuel I recommended of the 2 the LHS carried.
If Traxxas fuel performs as well in other brand engines, I couldn't say.

I was using Backyard Basher in my rcs until NCNitro told me about O'Donnells. By time I got through the first tank the power increase was amazing and half way through the second tank I stripped the stock spur gear on my dad's t-maxx. Good thing I have a steel spur gear in my t-maxx. The engines run cooler, can be leaned out more, and idles better with O'Donnells. Only thing is LHS only stocks Backyard Basher and won't order anything else. So I have to travel to get it or order it from Tower Hobbies. Hey NCNitro you interested in owning a hobby shop that would serve the people better? Jim is looking to sell!! LOL

HOW DID YOU FIND IT @ TH??? I called them because I saw they carried plane fuel but couldn't find the car fuel. So I called them and the confirmed they do not carry Odonnel car fuel. Can you find me the link to the part on TH's website? I would love to order this stuff online but cannot find it.

From the 20% to 30% Odonnell, is there a Big power gain?

I makes a hell of a differance in the VZB. I run 20%, and a friend of mine with the same mill let me drive his with 30%, and I was impressed.

Also, I've been seeing some guys at the track with White Lightning. It seems to be catching on, but it might be because of the $1000 thing, and big dreams. Anyone used the White Lightning fuel yet?

i used to run odonnel 20% in my rc's, but then switched to mhp 20% about 1/2 a year ago. performance was better, easier to start, and engine ran cooler. i recomend mhp to all

Northern IL

Trinity MHP 20% and Byron 20% both work well.

Wildcat works like crap as does blue thunder. High temps, low power.

Olds, where do you get byron's ? I look all over here and they don't carry it. I am using MHP now. (still have 2 Gal of top fuels in store room, what should I do with it ? ) By the way, MHP is cheaper, $10.99 per Gal.

WHAWHAWHAWHAT MHP FOR 10.99 A GAL, Shizzle Nizzle I pay 27.00 for 25% MHP at one of my LHS, thats bull heant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!tell where please!!!!!!i can get a quart for 10.99!

Sorry MyJeep, didn't see your post today for some reason...

$11 a gallon!!! Where are you buying the stuff? I buy Trinity MHP 20% for $21 a gallon in rockford and Al's Hobby's in elmhurst normally has the byrons on hand. I think I paid around $22-25 for it, but I'm not sure. I bought some other stuff and my bill was only $30.

As for the top fuel... start a bonfire!

Yeah 10.99, I still have the receipt with me. I think it was a mistake they made. LOL

I ran a quart of it in my Nitro Rustler,20% nitro. Not all that impressed with it,ran a little hotter than the MHP 25% I was using.
