Tower has the back plates for the .12/.15 Nitro Star. The address is below. I would give that a try if it is able to be used. I love Roto Start....just because I am lazy I guess...You can get just the plate and one of the wands and use a cordless drill to start it. Just another option for you.

yeh..i wonder if my boats batteries will fit the roto that came with my savage, but i still need a charger

The Roto start takes a standard 6 cell stick pack with a tamyia plug. Makes life so easy. I will never go back unless I have no choice. What is stamped on the side? Most of the time it will tell you the size.

oh too greasy to see. ill go check in a few minutes, the pullstart just says nitrostar

for the savage:does it make sense to have to use the throttle trim to get it started, then turning it back down once its running to keep it from running away?

for the nitro rs4: the crank case just says hpi. i'll ask my neighbor next time i see him, if not ill go to hobbytown and see if they have a match

Normally, I just hold the throttle at 50% and as soon as it fires up, I let off. I do this on all vehicles...

k, it just stalls as soon as i take the ignitor off if i dont get it enough gas. was just making sure thats how its supposed to be.

That's how they act sometimes if your running a bit rich or if your plug is wearing out. Mine usually do that if their cold. Once they warm up, their fine. I just run it a little and don't let it sit and idle until it warms up a bit. I don't go WOT or anything, but I do run around at about 1/4 throttle until the engines warmed up and acting more "normal".

its still rich for break in. but I've had a 3-4 good runs( i dont get to run it that much with school and rain etc.) so its getting there
