Another coworkers has a rig on my bench. He has a Redcat Kaiju with blown diff cups. The suspension can actually travel further than the maximum angle allowed by the diff cups, and I'm trying to come up with ways to avoid that over extension.

Buying a shorter set of shocks would fix it but I'm not going to invest that much money into this thing. Can anyone recommend any good tubing to install on the shock shafts for bump stops? I'm trying to install it inside below the position a well to prevent over extension, am I going to pop the shock pistons off the shafts on a bad hit?

All my 6s Arrmas I set the droop 2mm shy of full shock extension and run travel limiters on my shock shafts. I have no problems with drive cups or my shock ends breaking. You need to keep the travel within the boundaries of the maximum exit angle of the drive cups. If you don't you end up with a lot of broken drive cups.
