The family and I are considering a vacation this summer to either the Williamsburg PA area or the Boston MA area.

Anybody familiar with these 2 locations have any insight as far as weather and such. We would probably go in late June.

I grew up in Massachusetts and Rhode Island area. In June, the weather is GREAT typically. Humid and hot, but not as hot as the south typically. Boston is a great city to visit. TONS of stuff to do up there, and even more stuff to do within an hour or 2 if you get bored with the city.

So if you have any questions about Beantown...fire away. If I don't know the answer...I'm sure I know someone who does ;-)

We are heavily leaning towards Boston at this point.

My son just learned about Paul Revere and instantly got exited about seeing the stuff he just read about. Of course he is equally excited about going to Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. LOL

Plymouth Plantation (Plymouth Rock) is a GREAT place to visit if you want to see some awesome historic places as well. The Tea Party Museum is pretty cool, the Children's Museum is absolutely amazing, the aquarium is fun....TONS of things to do in and around Boston ;-)

I have visited Boston.... in the winter... but it was a neat city to visit. A bit tricky to drive around in Boston, but I enjoyed myself.

I am going to throw my two cents in for Williamsburg. It is close to Virginia Beach so you have the Ocean, and there is a tone of things to visit and do. They have a very family friendly hotel there call Great Wolf Lodge... it has an indoor water park inside the hotel! Colonial Williamsburg a neat place to visit, they always have lots of activities going on, and because it is a working colonial town, there is always neat demonstrations of how things were done back in the day. I like the blacksmith shop and the reinactments. They usually fire a few cannons too which is really neat. There is also an outlet mall and the Williamsburg Pottery is neat to visit as well.

Just wondering...
What made ya come up with those 2 places?

Going across the US, what about DC? Smithsonian?
Ever been to the Grand Canyon? Walk out on the skywalk?
You'll be flying. What about England, Italy, Germany? Could ya get a good deal on that.
Guess living on the east coast, and being able to drive to both places, I never thought about going.

Go to Boston. Show your son everything you can find about Paul Revere.
Wherever ya go make it a trip he will be telling his grand kids about. :)

Don't forget the camera and/or the camcorder. Take lots of pictures and get great souvenirs to remember the trip. My sister usually makes scrapbook with all of her pictures and souvenirs.
