Hi,
I'm pretty sure I'm going to build a Savage soon. I need to pick out a remote and need some recommendations. Here's what I'm looking for:
* price range $100 - $150
* preferably doesn't use crystals for frequencies
* has memory for 2 cars

Thanks for the help!

With that look for a JR XS3 on EBAY. You won't find it anywhere else for that price.

Like Jon said, the XS3 is a good choice. My son uses that setup and he loves it..............

I'm not real sure on the price (ebay prices) but......I'm running a Hitec Aggressor with Spectra module......20 model memory, 3-channel FM and has ALOT of features(EPA, Expo, ABS, to name a few).......drawback is you need buy an aftermarket RX,(to be synthesized) I use the Novak XXtra.........It will be a little more than what your price is but a great setup in my opinion...

I have the MX-3 non-synth. It's a 3 channel FM w/ 5 model memory. Tower had it for $105 with one wussy servo. Then get a novak xxtra 75Mhz synth reciever. It's cheaper than the crystal using receiver that comes with it and works just as good if not better. That way you can use the same crystal for two trucks. It's what I do with my savage and revo... I was an idiot and bought an entire xmitter/reciever so I could have a backup xmitter and extra receiver to use with my buggy... I didn't know the xxtra would work with the mx-3 at the time. So, I do have to switch crystals when I run the buggy.

You could also go with the mx-3S (Synth version of the mx-3), but it's $174.
