We finally get the best of both words! Someone finally did the sensable thing and combined the XT90 and EC5 connectors! I've always preferred the XTs for their ease of soldering but I've always used EC5 because the bullets are .5mm bigger than XT90 bullets. Well now we get an EC5/IC5 comaptible connector with XT soldering posts! I'm sold! As soon as I use up the 300,000 EC5 connectors I currently have, Ill be switching to SC5s!!!

I'm switching! But why is there no link to them hmm? 😉😁

Are those not Spectrum IC5 clones?

I see it now...fatter posts. I like it. I'm at a place where I FINALLY got everything switched over to XT after a couple years of fumbling around with different connectors on different vehicles. I'll have to try these out but I'm really not in a rush to change everything out again lol.

Me too. Been making the cut-over to XT-60 where I don't have proprietary 'smart' connectors. Using my supply of XT-90 for quick-change connectors on test leads. Have used both styles XT connectors - ones with and ones without a cap for the leads. Leaning toward using XT-60 with the caps over the soldered leads. Agree, much easier to solder and also much easier to handle for separation.

Sticker for me is cutting over to XTs from IC-3 proprietary. Eventually, I'll weed all those out by utilizing non-prop ESCs and batteries. -AC

I'm assuming a person can only find them at SMC? That is the only place I'm seeing them, and their SMC logo is on them.

These have been around for years..

It looks like SMC just took them one step further. Yes,no?
I wonder who the OEM is making them.
