Well a search on the site for STS engines came up pretty bleek! i an old STS .30M that is still very functional but sat for about five years. When I tried to turn it over with the roto start it broke the rotoshaft http://www.stsrc.com.tw/product_for...ductClass=Others&ProductClassID=2012030700012

Looks like STS is still in business but shipping from Taiwan is 2x the amount of the part. Are there any U.S. company's similar to the STS rotostart or anyone in the U.S. that carries STS parts?

Thanks

STS parts will be hard to find.
LRp uses the same sort of shaft. You have to find out if it is the same size..
Maybe the LRP .30 has te same size shaft?

Only place in us to find them. His id is sidcj

Have you actually stripped down the old engine? You may be seized up from old fuel goo which is likely fixable.

When you get into the engine, let us know. Seized engines from sitting are actually pretty common. Where you have a reasonably common engine, I doubt there's much going on in there that we can't help you thru and hopefully we'll save you some money too!

Its was just gummed up with old fuel and from sitting. Cleaned and free but one little part took the brunt of it.

Nice!!! Considering the possibility of wiping out the whole engine, that one part potentially saved you a lot. Make sure your bearings are cleaned, spinning smooth and operating correctly. Letting everything (excepting the carb) soak in some D.A. for a little while would Def be helpful while it's all apart. Don't forget to do the tank and the fuel lines. I would just replace all the lines. They are old and goo'd. New line is cheap, easy to replace, esp while everything is apart anyway and eliminates ANY question down the road as far as if the lines are in good shape. If you're going to be ordering parts, you may want to pick up new carb o-rings too.
