I am just about to start the S-25 in my new SS. I sealed the backplate and the carb with high-temp RTV and I used Red Loc-tite on the screws. I put a few drops of after run oil in the motor and pulled the starter a few times.
It seems as though I only get 1 compression stroke per pull. Is that right? I figure that 1 compression stroke per pull might make starting kind of difficult.
What do you guys hold on to when pulling the starter cord? I have to hold something otherwise the truck comes off the ground.
