i am constantly stripping spur gears on my RC10GT anyone know why s dpur gear would keep stripping???

How did you mesh your gears? That seems like the problem, but if not then the slipper clutch would be the next symptom.

loosen your engine and slide a peice of printer paper in between the clutch bell gear and the spur gear make sure you can feed it in and out nicly then tighten it up, remove paper after its tight.. works perfect for me like that

:first_place:my gear mesh always seems good, the problem is i have 2 of my engine bolts striped in place and i can't get them out so i can't slide my engine back and forth, its as far back as it can go too. i have a 60t spur, if i get a 61t do you think it will tighten the mesh a lil?:first_place:

I would concentrate on getting those engine bolts repaired and then move back to getting your gears to mesh correctly.

any idea how to remove them? the head is almost completely gone

If any small extractor is not working, it might be best to dissassemble the whole back end to gain clear access to those screw heads..then you may be able to use a dremel with a cutting disk to carefully turn the hex head into a neat slotted head that can be removed with a straight blade screwdriver.
While your at it, take a look at your tools, make sure you allen key isn't worn out and rounded. Worn allens or wrong size are typically the cause for stripped heads. Make sure your not using either.

all my tools are "color coded" all my engine screws are green thus ensuring that i dont use the wrong hex. as for the hex itself stripping, thats all cleen to. xD...still not removed waiting for my friend and his dremel to come over

just a reminder before getting anywhere near your rc with a dremel.

3 words: tape, seal, cover.

I'd say two main reasons could be stripping them.
1. Mesh is set badly
2. Mesh is set good, but engine mounts are loose causing engine to slide around, thus setting the mesh badly.
