very new to this took all my toys and put all aluminum parts on them now i'm stripping spur gears like crazy will metel ones fix this problem and should i change anything else thanks

Put metal what on them? Don't go metal spur gear. You just aren't meshed properly. If you just throw a metal gear on there, your going to mess up the rest of your tranny and drive gear.

New to this( key words) Always a good idea to get input from experienced people before spending$.Did you know in some cases aluminum doesn't always hold up as good as plastic they will bend and not spring back carbonfiber is a good option . As alpine said set up is wrong i agree.Fix that first and go from there.Metal trany gears are a good up grade only if needed otherwise your wasting money. What do you have how bout some pics lets go from there.:whhooo:

have t maxx jato revo s maxx stampede all with 3.3 and a losi t ten truggy really got in over my head

Find a tranny up grade set for it buy the whole matched set not bits and pieces. But you better straighten out that gear problem you have now before you do anything else.

your mesh is wrong. put a piece of paper between the gears, roll it, you want the gears to crimp the paper and make it look like stairs. you can tell if they are too close if you have holes or it doesn't go through easily. if it is too far it won't fold nicely. you want to hear a nice chime from the mesh and a good fold. good luck ( this is what a local pro told me to do and it worked)

i took my engine off rebuilt it and when i put it back on i jus overlooked the step of meshing the spur correctly,, about an hour in i noticed it had already stripped.. like these guys said above plastic will work fine .. i use kimboroughs on all mine and when they are messed correctly they never strip,,

just take your time when working on your trucks..and if you get confused just ask someone on this site because they really do kno what there talking about

Yes. When both spin forward, it should spin your spur gear. When you spin only one and the other spins in the opposite direction, your seeing the diff work.
