I just stripped the gears in my T-Maxx 2.5 with reverse. Any suggestions on what gears to put back in it to make it bulletproof?

Ok is there someway that the tranny can be stuck between forward and reverse?

( IT'S POSSIBLE)

See if there is a metal gear set avaliable for it.:D

you can't get metal gears but you have to do away with reverse... that is the only otion I can find.. hense y i still have stock gears in it.... you should open it up because it could be something very simple..

I just finished opening up the tranny. Should I remove the forward/reverse option so it only goes forward? If i do this, i can make it run in neutral and forward!!

the FOC aint that much either and if you go with that you can get the metal set... I dont think that it will work right if you only take gears out.. I think the remaining gears will float around too much and cause more problems..

check out robins racing gears they make aFOC set of metalls gears for both the 2.5 and the 3.3... i have a set in my 3.3 and have had no problems with my tranny since i installed it

If your running the stock engine, installing an FOC will increase the durability greatly. It gets rid of the off idle lurch, a decent amount of rotational mass and the gear it comes with is twice as wide as the one you remove, which makes it much stronger.
