I have a Storm Pro and am attempting to install a Hyper 8 w/pull start.
The motor mounts from the Pro place the mill to far forward.

Is there a difference between the motor mounts for the RTR and the Pro?
After researching this I can't seem to find the answer in black and white. I'm hoping someones experience here will provide the answer.

This is what I have

Will this work?

I had a similar problem with my PCR Pro mounts installing a picco 26 and found the mounts on the bottom that you show to help the most as they allow you to move the engine back and forth to allow better fitting and mesh. Have you checked Fioroni for parts or maybe Megenitro.com

Just a thought, but can you turn them around? It looks like the holes are closer to one end than the other. Maybe turning them around will give you the extra space.

I have a set of XTM 21 conversion maxx motor mounts that look like the ones in the lower pic. I can measure them for you... they are for sale. $10 shipped. I used them for about 2 tanks of fuel, then broke something else. Currently parting out the maxx stuff that I have.

This is the thread: https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?p=229579
They are item #52.

Just got back from my LHS.
The proper answer is the mounts for the RTR.

I did try to flip them around however they were not a proper fit.
I appreciate the posts to help.

Maybe the next person that has this issue will be able to find the answer here.

actually, i just came across this issue today. I'm upgrading my Storm RTR to the Pro version. A friend of mine sold me a partial Pro kit that was used as apare parts. When one broke on his Storm he would go through the kit and replace the part and later he would get that part from his LHS and replace it. I dropped a Sirio .21 in it and the new motor mounts didn't quite fit properly in either direction and I got on here wondering if the RTR mounts would work... That just saved me from asking.(and yet I typed this whole damn thing anyway!)
