My instruction book says to plug the air inlet or plug the muffle outlet. I thought about this and i would think that this would flood the engine... What do you think?
Also what other ways do you stop your engine?

I just stick my thumb on the flywheel. I think pinching the fuel line is not the best way to do it since it leans the engine out, it's just a short time I know but it does lead to premature glow plug failure.

In my experience though pinching the line makes it easier to start (well if you start it up within about 30 minutes) and drains all fuel from the engine at the same time.

Don't ask me why it is so much easier to start, cuz I have no idea.

pinching the line is good in emergencies....like when i didnt know my 4 year old sister was standing right behind me and my savage wheelied out of control at me running into her after i jumped out of the way....but i usually pinch the line, especially at the end of my run, to get the gas out.

haha..did a front flip as the truck swept her legs out from under her. of course she cried, but it was just one of those scared moments. she was fine after a couple minutes

She did a full front flip, or she fell on her face? I'd be scared if something almost my size (4 year olds = about a nitro car) came at me.

Yeah, the stinger on my Resonater gets shiat hot after a run. I temped it one time at 150. It's not too hot to hold it long enough to cut the engine but it'll give you a start if you touch it too long.

Am i the only on that covers the exhaust? I think that works the best because then there is no heat, and no running lean. All it does is cut the air off.

when i'm out bashing i'm either constantly refueling or it runs out of fuel so when i do have to cut of the engine i will plug the tip in the heat of the moment to get it to stop but if i know i'm not gonna run it anymore i'll pinch the fuel line so that there is no fuel in the engine that could possibly gunk up the engine till my next run.

i usually also just keep refueling until I'm done, and i want all gas out of the engine so i run it out or pinch it

Pinching it off or running it out of fuel are not good methods of shutting an engine down as it leans out the mill before shut down. That wears on your plug, not necessarily the engine itself. Plugging the exhaust isn't the best method either as it causes back pressure in the engine. Unless it's a run-away the best method of shutting down an engine at idle is either bumping the flywheel with your thumb or using a stick or something to stop the flywheel.
