Hi guys, I have a Kyosho V - ONE - S, and was wondering if anyone could be of any assistance with my slight steering problem.

When i turn the txer and rxer on steering is perfect with trim at neutral. After a little bit of a run the steering goes to poop, like in order to steer at all i need to change the trim all the was to the left or right. once i have done that it goes straight fora while then it stuffs up again and i have to move the trim again.

I am using hitec txer , rxer and servos

i have a hitec 503 servo i beleive for the steering not sure if it is 503, but it is 50 something. This servo i have already upgraded from a 30 someting. I also had to upgrade the throttle servo as well.

any help would be appreciated.

Also this steering problem caused a slight incident some might find funny.

The beast had a fuel leak, and i was trying to fix, when i thought that i had fixed it i took her for a run. There were no apparent fuel leaks. Was giving her a bit of a bash and came through a really fast chicane section in the road at WOT. All the sudden i lost steering (could only go straight or right) at nearly WOT she mounted the curb sending sparks. Now i bet you can guess what happened when the sparks met with all that nitro.

Is all the parts/bolts on the car tight ? (suspension/steering components).. Servo could be taking a crap too

Yeah all the bolts are tight, i have the servos in balloons to protect them from nitr / debris etc. servo has only had 2 10 min runs since new

Is this car run with dry cell/alkaline batteries for the receiver and transmitter? If so, the problem is most likely the batteries. Dry cells have a tendancy to recoup some of their power while sitting, but once you start running them they drain quickly. This underpowered condition will cause the servos to be sluggish and unresponsive leading to issues that you have described.

I would recommend either changing to a new set of batteries or perhaps upgrading to a set of rechargeables. If you go rechargeable, make sure you let them charge up over night the day prior to running them. That way they have a full charge on them the day you want to run your car.

Hope this helps.

BTW...Welcome to RCNT!

Once i hit a curb outside my house, the RS4 3 flipped the stinger broke off, and the fuel line came off at the fuel tank letting all the gas out. no fire though.

Did you truck really catch fire?

yeah it caught fire, but you could only tell by the sizzling sounds and the balloons i have over the raio gear started to melt. Because the fuel when burnt burns with an invisible flame

OOOh, man invisible flames, huh?

Reminds me of a video on RealTV of a tanker truck that flipped over, and firefighters were there to put any fires out, they had a helicopter to assist, then suddenly the helicopter guy noticed an explosion, he radiod the guys fighting the fires, and they didn't know about it, only that it was very, very hot for a second and the truck "mysteriously" blew to pieces...
