Hi guys,

I recently upgraded my steering hubs to some aluminium ones ...

Before doing this I could do real tight donuts on the floor , now the chance of doing a donut is non-existent ... not even nearly. Any ideas why that would be?

I have tired altering the front servo links to see if that gives more turning but they are at the max setting now and moving them an further will mean they are fully unscrewed...

Any ideas ... I am sure this is something silly!!!

check the transmitter steering thingy...i dunno what you call it but its a nob that controls how much you turn...other than that maybe you lost a bit of power....happens to me too..if I'm on a wrong tune its hard to do donuts...

Hi, I dont reckon its power ... it seems to have plenty ...

The nob that controls how much you turn ... sounds interesting ... any body got any ideas what its called? I shall have a play again ...

it simply is just not turning enough ... actually come to think of it ... I have new rear rims and tyres that I havent glued yet ... could that be having an effect?

You're runnning tires that are not glued? If so that is the problem.

If you are running your new rims and tires that are not glued yet, on your truck then yes it can have an effect on things, the reason is the rims will spin inside the tires not giving the tires power to break free and spin dounuts.

As for the knob thing I an not sure what truck you have, but unless it has a higher end radio there is no ajustment for how far the wheels turn just one that centers them, on a higher end transmitteryou have what is call (EPA) or end point adjustments, this is what lets you adjust how far the servo turns in each direction, but your steering I am sure has it limits as to how far it can turn in each direction at which piont it would not matter how far the servo moves because of the limits the wheels can physically move...

Lets get em glued then! I was in a rush today to get it all back together after a month off the road waiting to be fixed!! I will pop down the LHS tomorrow! Thanks guys,.

Didn't I read somewhere that you were done with us? I know--we are much like a bloody car accident. Hard to look at, hard to not stop and stare...

Hi there ... glues the tyres and OH MY GOD ... what a difference! Thanks guys ... next time I wont be so hasty!!

Glad to see you got it worked out tomfloate. Nevermind the above line, I'm just pickin' on somebody else :)

ha, yeah blatantly over my head!!! Ithought I had pi$$ed someone off!!

Thanks anyways!

No Tom, your good, you didnt piss anyone off.

We have other members that ask advice, then do whatever they want anyway and disregard the advice they were given, then they give out nonsense unintelligent answers without actually having a clue what they are talking about.

Lessen was actually complimenting you for actually taking the advice that was given to you, and solving the problem at hand. Glad to see you got your rig back running like it should

wow thats some grade A advice there. Ya sound like John Madden. "Uhhhh yea ya check the knob thingy on the thingy that controls the steering of the other do hicky. If the thingamajig doesn't turn then just give it more power."

I believe you are talking about the Trim setting on the transmitter that adjusts where the neutral position of the servo sits. Either that or if its a more sophisticated remote, the end point settings for how far the servo will rotate in either direction.
