For novelty, that would be cool. I've never run a 4-stroker, but my understanding is that they are torque monsters. There's not a ton of HP there. And you'll notice the rpm range is about 1/3 that of a 2-stroke. But they're pretty cool. If you search a bit, there was a guy on here a few years ago who converted his T-Maxx to twin 4-strokers and even had a vid.

There are 4 stroke car engines now, but thats an aircraft engine on the savage. It could only be used for show. There is no way to attach an air filter, and it won't have enough cooling fins without a 60 mph wind across it. Its not worth finishing.

I'm with the rest of the guys. Don't think it would be much. If it was geared stock, what are ya looking at on top speed? 10 to 12 mph? Might be able to get 25 out of it gearing as high as you could?
I have a Saito .91 in one of my aircraft. Book says 12 grand, we tuned it to run 9 tops. (We tune the 4-strokes using a tach.) Compare that to 30 to 40 grand on a car engine?
Might be something to make a crawler out of? I haven't seen any of the ASP engines at the field either. Tower used to sell them, but haven't seen them for a while.
Just my 2 cents.

Stall, that is a Magnum engine. The one listed on the auction is an ASP. Don't think they are the same. Unless Magnum bought them out? From what I have heard about Magnum engines, one of the engineers? that worked at OS started the company. Decent engine from what I have seen.

If you are thinking about getting it, I would suggest getting a tach. Make a test stand for the engine. Using the suggested prop, tune it to about 9 and a half grand. If ya get it leaned out too much and over-rev the engine it'll float the valves.

Again, just one guys 2 cents.

My bad - thought I linked to an ASP engine from Google. Searched again and I can't find anyone selling an ASP engine. I find info on it but no sales.

With no Air Filter, where do you get air into the engine. Don't you need Air, Spark & Fuel for an engine to run?

Hobby People still sell them for $169

Of course it has an air intake. 2 stroke plane engines have the carb in front like a regular car engine, but on 4 strokes the carb intake points down and is mounted real close to the cylinder for firewall clearance. There is no ring to attach a filter to.

Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like a smartass. Plane engines don't usually use air filters. It can be put on a 2 stroke plane engine easily, but the 4 strokes make it almost impossible. I think its stupid to not have a filter. I have a plane with a saito 72 four stroke, and I tried to put a filter on it so I could take off in my yard, but I wasn't able to.

There should be some way to put an air filter on it.
I know there isn't a groove on the carb. What about a piece of pipe that fits over the carb? Solder a couple of tabs on it so the pipe would mount to the frame? Filter on the end of the pipe and seal the carb end with silicone?
Did that make any sense?
The pipe would be mounted to the frame, can't come off the carb end. Could flare the air cleaner end like we do exausts.
Might take a few pieces of pipe to get it bent just right.

Another thing... Is the 2-speed tranny going to shift with the rpm's that low?

Just noticed "engine alone was $300." They were priced about the same as the Magnum's. Seems like $180 to $200?

If one of ya get it let us know. Be an interesting project to watch. I saw someone was asking about a "nitro crawler" a week or 2 ago.
