I'm looking for a couple of other pics of it.

I just did some searching here, but the pics were already taken down. I bought it here, from robmob several months ago.
I'll take a few pics of it, folded as well as set up, and post them later.
I'll also see if I can come up with the manufacturer, or a site that sells it.

Holy hell! For that amount, you can almost get another nitro car hahaha. Lucky for me, I own a welder and matalworking tools, so I'm going to make a custom one here in the near future. I'll post up pics when the thing is done. Oh, it won't win any "RC stand shows", but it'll do the trick ;).

That stand on Ebay is a serious rip-off. Used, also.

The Allen head screws on the top plates allow you to lock in the chassis. The other one, at a 45 degree angle, locks it in any position on a ball joint.

The round plate has 3 slots in it, allowing you to rotate it to the open or locked position when you set the legs. Ingenious design.

AJ'S used to make a nice stand for the Savvy but they seem to have disappeared...

As for Ralph's stand--someone put a lot of serious time and effort into that. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that it is a one-off, custom piece.

Anyone know if the DuraTrax Pit Tech stand it too short to work with the Savvy? I know it is too short for my LST.

The stand I sold Rolex was by Sawtooth RC. Unfortunatly, it is no longer made.

They have since come up with a different more universal design.

The old design was better IMO and is perfect for the Savage.

I actually had 2 of these, the other one was sold to another member here but the name escapes me.

I know who you sold the other to, and he was trying to sell it but he's been put on vacation for a bad deal if I remember right too.

That's a nice stand Rolex.

I wouldn't think someone would dish $200 for a stand, would they?

That's poorly made for that much $$$. Needs gold plated too.

For the thought and effort put into those, $90-$100 isn't bad.

I dont see the difference between the 1.3 and 2.5 Wats better? Also, why are they differnt in price by color?

The 2.5 was a new version we came up with that would be easier to use, and easier to machine. Some buyers did not like the height of the 1.3.

Also, the 2.5 is the fifth mod of the version 2, same with the 1.3.

The extra cost is for the anodizing; it takes a lot of prep and electricity to anodize all the parts.

The pics of the 1.3 (1.1?) posted are actually pretty old; good to see people still talking about it! Although it worked very well for the Savage and the Maxx's, it did not work very well at all for any other ones; which is why it was redesigned.

I am in the process of combining the best parts of both and just making a single design; there is no distinct preference and the more you can do with it the better!

Appreciate all the comments; even criticism helps when we modify designs. Nothing worse than redesigning something only to find out it is NOT an improvement!

As for the eBay one ... it looks like he tried to eliminate the ball and made it more complicated. Also the vise idea will work only on a very limited number of vehicles. Not sure if he tried to copy ours or not, but it does look somewhat similar. If so he would not be the first, Integy has an ugly knock off looking one that looks to be a more blatant copy.

I have the same stand as Rolex but unfortunately all my rigs have a flat chassis. It's holding my daughter's Micro-T at the moment. :hehe:
