Stampede VXL Question

I may be getting a used VXL off a guy for real cheap. It comes with a 6 and 7 cell venom battery. How fast would this go, and are they a good battery? Also, he mentioned that a wire in the ESC would need soldered and a motor wire would. Other than that it is RTR with all radio gear, etc.

just depends on what you paid for it they are a great car
venom batteries are good i use them
fast just depends on gearing have to play around with then and depends on what battery you are using
i have 6 cell 7 cell 8 cell 9cell batteries and there is no comparison
to a 11.1v lipo battery its like night and day
just be carefull and do your homework on lipos if you use them

Okay, I'm probably going to go for it. Can you direct me to a good Lipo 11.1V battery? I don't know a whole lot about these (Nitro guy)

need a charger and balancer or charger with built in balancer to charge the lipo

What do you guys think of this battery? What would run time and speed be like?

Wiyg stock gearing it should go around 40ish mph and last a good 20-25 mins. Its the same vehicle snd setup I have. But I have lots of upgrades too.

Okay. I've found 2 more batteries. I'm sorry for all these questions guys. I just want the best "bang" for my buck.

^^Will that really do the 60 MPH with the correct gearing that it claims?^^
Also, will it be a good buy overall? Has anyone had past experience with them? Or would the other be better? What would speed be like on the Venom?

It may be possible with the 8 cell battery to hit 60 but gearing it that way will get it really hot. Have you thought abou going lipo?

Yes. I'm considering it...I just honestly have no idea what I'm doing. I'm willing to follow directions with them; I just don't know what to buy. I'll need a good lipo charger, and a good battery for a reasonable price. If you can help me find a good brand/battery, that would be great. Thanks
