Stampede 4x4 steering parts

Do you guys think that this part will work with the Sampede 4x4 vxl, I keep snapping the drag link, and think this would be a good fix. However it says fits slash 4x4, but the part number 6845 is the same for the stampede 4x4.

I found this on the Traxxas forums. I personally have no first hand knowledge of the kits or the pieces in question.

" of course the STRC ST6845B won't work for Gravedigger or any 2WD Stampede, but they do work for 4x4 Stampede, which is same front/rear design as 4x4 Slash..."
