Hey everyone,
I put together a new savage 4.6 SS last week and broke it in this past weekend. Everything seems fine with it except that the truck will not idle sitting still. If it's up on a block, with the wheels off the ground, it will run fine until I back off on the throttle trim far enough for it to stall but the wheels never stop spinning. When driving it, if I hit the brakes, it dies immediately.
I'm using my old roto start with it and notice that the wheels want to turn when the roto is spinning. I have to put it on a block to start it so the wheels can spin freely. I have an old savage 25 and have never noticed the wheels pulling when the roto is spinning so I'm guessing something is put together wrong, maybe the clutch?
I'm not a genius at this stuff but if those 3 shoes/weights are "stuck" could that cause this kind of symptom?
Let me know what you think and thanks in advance!
