spur gear

hey yesterday i was running my duratrax overdrive st and a rock got into where the spur gear is and is like completely round no teeth i went to my lhs and he said theres no parts for the truck do any of you guys have any advice or maybe a different part i can replace it with ?

Try ebay. Probably your best bet.

I have found that with older vehicles that if you cannot find that exact part than try looking at other vehicles from the same mfr and era. 90% of the time they kept everything cheap and utilized the same parts on several different vehicles.

i tried ebay and they didnt have that part but I'm going to try what phins said and just look at the other trucks I'm going to fix it then sell it and hopefully get something newer its just been a nightmare finding parts lol

hey guys just as an update i got rid of the overdrive st i went into my lhs and i got an hpi truck as a trade for my old one I'm not sure what model and just had a couple questions the guy said the carb needed to be gutted? with wd-40 I'm not sure how to do that maybe you can tell me how
