ok, i recently melted my spur gear, and need new one. a\how many teeth you think i should get. i still have stock cluthbell and i mainly want quick speedy acceleration ya no??,, all that happens when you go fast is crash into sumthing and die. so i just want to speed up quickly ya no stop go bam!, so how many teeth ya think i shhould get for good low end ok thanks guys

Well, first off what kinda car is it?

Generally, if you want more low end acceleration but less top end speed, you go to a bigger spur gear (more teeth) and if you want more top end speed but less low end acceleration, than you go with a smaller spur gear (less teeth)

You can do the same by changing the clutchbell to. Changing the clutchbell has more impact on the gear ratio. Make it bigger = higher top speed, make it smaller= better low torque.

I have the losi xxx-nt and i went from their smallest clutchbell (17 tooth) to their largest (20 tooth). There was a big difference in performance. I can barely control it with the 20 and with the 17 it burns tires on any surface.

I usually run the 20 with street tires only as it balloons the tires into saucers with stock step pin which makes it harder to control.

I'm running the OS .15 cv-r(x).

ok thanks guys, i just wanna no for spur gear cuz thats what I'm replacing, i got a 64 tooth, that not bad right? for acceleration anyways. and you no whats the stock teeth for spur/cluthchbell for an rc10 gt. thanks!
