i have a mbx5 that i've used for bashing up until a few weeks ago. i took it to the track the other day to get a feel for racing it. i noticed that the tail would spin out a lot going around turns even at low speeds. it is setup according to the manual. i guess this could be considered oversteer. anyway i'd like suggestions on how to reduce the problem.

the track is freshly made - sandy dirt - so it's not hard to spin out. i'm wondering if the center diff needs a heavier silicon? the tires are the crimefighters that come with the mugen. overall it is responsive and handles great, it's just the back and tends to come out.

any suggestions?

Hmm, I have the same problem on loose surfaces. I haven't tried to figure it out yet, but I'm going to get some stiffer springs and reduce the amount of steering I have - this is for a GS Storm but the same tuning rules apply.

what fluid are you using in your diffs now? If you still have stock greese, you may want to switch to(heavier) diff fluid,if you do a search, you will find lots of info on different fluid set ups!
sounds like too much power to the front could be making the rear spin out!

actually.. i think it is not enough power to the front is making it spin out.. ifyou got equal fluids all the way through the car.. then it may spin out.. i run 5k in the front.. 7k in the center and 1k in the rear.. also... check and make sure you have not blown a diff in the front.. make sure you are getting front pull.. basically.. start the car.. pull up the rear wheels so they are not touching the ground.. and see if the front wheels are pulling

i auto cross my Honda Civic.. and i can't get the car to spin out.. unless i get alot of over steer.. but to fi that.. i turn th wheels and gas it.. and the rear follows.. now if you had a 4wd car.. like your buggy.. you would have to feather it.. cuz if you get on the gas and the rears bite harder than the fronts.. then around you go..

Sounds to me liek you are not getting enough front pull out of the front wheels
