Hey guys getting back to a couple unfinished projects after several months out of the country. Any reviews on the Spektrum DX3R radio and receiver now that its been out a few months? Can I mix analog and digital servos with this system?

Thanks guys :)

The DX3R is an awesome radio. So easy to use, (I can and I'm a moron) easy to bind to receivers, easy to set up and left hand convertible, (yes I'm one of those too) but as for your other question, I found that sometimes you will have to take the servo horns off sometimes and reset them, 'cause on original set up the servos will max out one way. Thats with analogue servos anyway, digital is fine. You can mix digital and analogue BUT, when you use digital servos you are supposed to set the frame rate to 5.5ms, but if you use a mixture then use the default setting of 11ms.

So I've just got my new radio and I'm wondering if anybody has converted one to use lipos??? Seems like the tray for the AA's is pretty much a permenant fixture.

Why, I get 25 hrs of run time out of four good AA's.

i would be the one to leave it on and melt a perfectly good radio.

so does the 3.0. i can't tell you how many times i have run the savage after work and then come in the next morning to. beep...............................beep..........................beep.

I know it's possible I was just wondering if someone knew of a particular pack that fit well and if they had come up with a good way to wire it that's all.

i just installed an ace 1015 steering for my revo and installed the 2070 on th/brakes. problem is I'm having erratic response on the 1015 of i use the 11ms. can the non digital traxxas 2070 handle the 5.5ms? thanks....

Hey Dioz. This may sound crazy but make sure she's perfectly centred, even if you have to use the trim and SUB trim to do it so theres no servo chatter, and see if that helps.
If your digital is eratic on 11ms then you'd have to assume you'd need to go UP to 16.5 to stop it. (ASSUMPTION) At that rate the digital may not even work, I've never tried it...

The other thing is if you have eratic servo's the FIRST thing you look at is battery voltage, the second is, 'is your receiver fried'.
Sorry to scare you....
