I wanted to purchase one of these once I pay off my debts (incurred some with my dad since he sponsored the buying of my TMaxx.) and just wanted to know if it's a good radio?

  • What kind of range you get out of it?
  • How does it compare to a similar Futaba FASST system? (those are alot cheaper and I don't want to pay the premium if they're the same)
  • How has your overall experience been?
  • Does your hobby shop sell just the TX and RX, since I don't want or need the servos.

I did search the forum with no results...

*Tested Range the other day and got about 200 yards. Only lost signal when the truck went in a little ditch and I lost sight of it. As soon as I took a few steps forward and held the radio up over my head I had signal again. Who drives their RC that for out anyway?

*This is my first Good radio so I can't compare

*Excellent. Bound up first try, controls are easy to navigate. NO glitching!

*I bought mine of ebay for 249.99 shipped. Came with 2 receivers and the 2 servos. To me that is an unbeatable deal even if you do not plan on using the servos right now. Who knows, you may need one in an emergency one day.

Thanks :) My neighbor recently bought the DX3R and it's REALLY cool. It makes me want to buy one lol. It only takes 4 batteries :o
