What color do you use for a backing????

Everytime I tried to back it with ANY paint it changed the look of the finish from a chrome look to a brushed aluminum look. I don't know why it does this. It also flakes real easily if you do not back it.

For the deepest chrome, back it with a water-based black. I used Mirror Chrome backed with FasBlack on this one:

Using a "waterbase" black, gives the best results...
I have also heard a few "Pro" painters say, that for doing large areas of chrome, they have gotten the best results from the SpazStix aeresol can version. No poop...

I seen that the site says use the createx,but it didnt say what color though,I have a sprint body that I'm doing for some one and I dont want to screw it up!!! The Fascolor thats water based???
All I have ever used it Pactra. Is Fascolor good stuff?

Yes, you can use Parma Faskolor FasBlack. It is waterbased.

I've never had a problem using pactra outlaw black laqu...
But i make sure i can't see through the chrome and wait a day for it to dry good

Chrome dries in like 2.5 seconds, at least insanely fast.

I use Parma Fasblack as well. Watch out when spraying the chrome. Thats some stinky chit. Cool though, just put on a mask.

Being a auto painter by trade I have learned the hard way on the mask deal. It sucks not being able to breath,pukeing all the time and hacking chit out of my lungs and thinking I was dieing.Only being 32yo and have all kinds of health problems because I was stubbern. I wear a mask all the time now, I learned that wearing a mask will help you live longer!!!


Message of the day will be WEAR YOUR MASKS WHEN PAINTING!!!

Chrome dries in like 2.5 seconds, at least insanely fast.

not so true .. if it dries so fast next time you use it try and wipe it after your done .. then try a spot that has dried for about 12 hours then tell me it dries 2,5 secs..

Be sure to use the Spaz prep for the chrome, too. It really does help. And Ilike the smell of that stuff, smells sweet.
